The highly rumored Amazon smartphone has finally shown itself in a comprehensive leak, revealing the front and back of the device respectively. Prior to this, we had seen the device leak out in a couple of live shots revealing the lockscreen and the multiple cameras on the front for gesture and 3D features.
This leak however shows us the design of the smartphone in its entirety for the first time, thus confirming that the device is nearing launch. The handset is expected to feature a 4.7 inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, a quad core Snapdragon processor and a skinned version of Android similar to what we see on the Kindle Fire tablets.
Other details regarding the smartphone are a bit sketchy right now, although it is said that the smartphone will come with multiple camera sensors on the front to track head movement of the user. We’re not sure what Amazon plans to do with this, but it certainly sounds interesting.
It was rumored that Amazon would partner with AT&T to launch the smartphone in the U.S. which means there could be exclusivity right from the start. We’ll update you with more information on this smartphone as the launch date gets closer.
