Xiaomi launches MIUI Launcher beta for Android devices

MIUI Launcher

Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has just launched its popular MIUI launcher as an apk file for all Android users to give it a try. This launcher is still in Beta apparently, which means that some of the features are still missing. However, if you want to try your hand with one of the most popular custom Android interfaces out there, this is definitely worth a try.

The file is 28MB in size and will require your device to allow installation of apps from third party sources, which can be toggled from the security settings. It isn’t available directly from the Play Store, which is a tad surprising, but that could change soon.

Xiaomi announced support for the Nexus 7 with its new custom ROM last month, so this gives us an idea of the company’s plans. Hit the download link below to give the app a try yourself and let us know if you encounter any trouble. Most aspects of the UI are still in Chinese, which should be rectified soon by the manufacturer.
