T-Mobile and MetroPCS have just announced the Optimus L90 and the Optimus L70 handsets respectively. The Optimus L70 can be snatched up from MetroPCS right away while the Optimus L90 from T-Mobile will arrive on the 30th of April. Both are midrange smartphones and are sold off contract with a very attractive price tag.
The bigger of the two, the T-Mobile bound Optimus L90 will pack a 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, a quad core 1.2 GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel camera, LTE connectivity and a 2,540 mAh battery. The smartphone will be offered at $0 down and $9.50 per month for a duration of two years which roughly translates to an off contract pricing of $228.
The MetroPCS Optimus L70 comes with a smaller 4.5 inch display with a WVGA resolution and packs a 5-megapixel camera, a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and a 2,100 mAh battery. The carrier is offering the smartphone for $149 with a $100 mail-in rebate which brings it down to just $49. Both the aforementioned smartphones pack Android 4.4.2 KitKat by default, which is pretty decent for midrange offerings.
