HTC had previously confirmed that Sense 6, the latest iteration of its custom Android UI that debuted on the HTC One M8, would be making its way to the company’s original HTC One flagship. Today, HTC America president Jason Mackenzie took to Twitter and announced that Sense 6 – or Sixth Sense, as HTC calls it – would be arriving on the HTC One by the end of May.
“Reminder that Sense 6 will push to current HTC One users by end of May. #htcadvantage” wrote Mackenzie. The May-end deadline is only for carrier-specific models in the US and Canada, something Mackenzie noted in further replies. However, given the company’s recent habit of releasing quick software updates, the international models shouldn’t be far behind and will likely be hopping on to Sense 6 by the end of June. The HTC One max and One mini are also expected to get the update, though it’s unknown when the two devices would start receiving it.
