A new device known as the HTC 0PAJ3 has been spotted on AnTuTu benchmarks. We usually come across several such model numbers on benchmarking sites, but this one has caught our attention thanks to the high end hardware on board.
To begin with, it packs a 1080p display although the dimensions weren’t known. The benchmark listing further reveals that the device comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 13-megapixel camera. The real surprise though is the mention of the Snapdragon 801 chipset with a clock speed of 2.3 GHz, which is the same as the HTC One M8.
It will be interesting to see if this is a new standalone flagship or merely a variant of the One M8. This could also be a dual SIM variant of the handset. Another theory suggests that it will be a region specific device like the HTC Butterfly. There’s no confirmation of either of these theories so take them with a grain of salt for now. We’ll make sure you know everything about this new HTC device when and if the manufacturer makes it official.
