The Motorola DROID Maxx has been available from Verizon since August last year, and now, North America’s largest carrier has decided to refresh it with two new colors. The phone can now be bought in High Gloss Red or Black with Chrome Accents colors, and the price for a two-year contract has gone down to $99.99 for the 16GB model and $149.99 for the 32GB variant. Off contract, the device can be yours for $499.99 or $599.99.
Apart from the color and price, also new in the refresh is Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, instead of Android 4.2.2 which the phone launched with. Other than that, nothing has changed – the specs include a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, dual-core 1.7GHz Motorola X8 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 10-megapixel ClearPixel camera, 2-megapixel front shooter, and a giant 3,500 mAh battery. You also get the touchless controls feature that made the Moto X so popular, and, of course, 4G LTE connectivity on Verizon’s network.
