LG has just announced an event on the 27th of May, with invitations being sent out already. What’s interesting from this invite is the emphasis on the letter ‘G’ indicating that this could see the unveiling of the much awaited LG G3 that we’ve spoken so much about. The company will hold an event in San Francisco, New York and London while Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul will also host events, but on the 28th of May.
The invite quotes Ralph Waldo Emerson saying – “To be simple is to be Great”, hinting that we might be treated with a simplistic looking flagship from LG. We have already come across some leaks of the smartphone over the past few days which have revealed the redesigned rear buttons, so it’s clear that some changes are in order. The UI of the new smartphone is believed to be changed as well, maintaining a flatter yet refined design.
If all rumors come to fruition, the LG G3 should pack a 5.5 inch 2K resolution display, a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera with OIS+ technology and Android 4.4 KitKat.
