LG L65 launched: 4.3" display, dual-core CPU, Android KitKat on a budget

LG unveiled three new handsets in its L series smartphone lineup back in February, and now, the Korean manufacturer has added yet another device to the mix. Enter the LG L65, a budget handset that shares most of its specs with the LG L70 and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. The L65 will be available in black and white, and is currently on sale in Russia for RUB 7,490 (about $210).

As already mentioned, the L65 is quite similar to the L70. In fact, the two have the exact same specs except the screen size – the L65 sports a 4.3-inch IPS display, 0.2-inch smaller than the L70’s, with a WVGA (800×480) resolution. Other specs include a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, 4GB of internal storage expandable by a microSD slot, and a 2,100 mAh battery. Connectivity options are pretty standard fare, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and HSPA support.

There’s no word on whether the LG L65 will ever make it stateside, though it will likely be offered by carriers like MetroPCS, which already stock the LG L70.
