If the Google Drive and QuickOffice apps weren’t enough for your document editing needs, then Google has two new apps to make up for it. The search giant has released standalone Docs and Sheets apps on Android for document and spreadsheet editing, and will also be releasing a Slides app for presentations in the coming weeks.
Both apps come with support for Google Drive and allow creating and editing documents saved online or locally, without the need of an internet connection. Collaborative editing is possible as well, and so is adding and responding to comments. The apps don’t seem any more capable than Drive or QuickOffice at the moment, but should be a great options for those who don’t want to mix their documents and spreadsheets while preserving integration with Google’s cloud service.
