We have seen several leaks over the past few days hinting at the hardware specs of the LG G3 along with the expected release date. But this latest leak shows off the alleged retail packaging of the device, revealing quite a bit about the upcoming flagship.
The box packaging supposedly belongs to a gold variant of the handset, indicating that the LG G3 won’t just have standard white/black color combinations. Hardware wise, The Verge has managed to confirm that the smartphone will come with a 2K resolution display as rumored, which is very good news for hopeful fans.
It is said that the handset is currently going around with the codename “B2″. The source has also been able to confirm that the G3 will bear resemblance to the LG Isai that leaked out yesterday for the Japanese markets. It is further being said that the smartphone might be announced on May 1, which is only a couple of weeks away now.
But since previous reports have suggested that the LG G3 will not break cover until the end of June, we will take that last bit with a pinch of salt.
