BLU has just announced the Studio 5.0 smartphone with support for LTE via T-Mobile’s networks. Barring this, the device features midrange hardware and a very affordable price tag. The handset can be snatched up from Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy in the U.S. from May onwards for as little as $249 unlocked and contract free. Considering that it supports T-Mobile networks, all you have to do is get a SIM card from the carrier and you’re good to go. To be specific, it supports LTE on the 1700 and 2600 MHz bands while 3G support is offered on 850/1700/1900/2100 MHz bands.
The BLU Studio 5.0 comes with a 5 inch 960 x 540 resolution display, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, 1GB of RAM, a 1.4 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 SoC, 4GB of storage with a microSD card slot, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,000 mAh battery. The hardware pretty much justifies the $250 price tag and the fact that this device comes with LTE will work in its favor as well. So who’s looking to pick one up?
