That Android 4.4.3 is the next minor update to Android and is on its way is not a mystery anymore, with glimpses of the new version of the OS appearing more than a few times in the last couple of weeks. Now, the most surefire indication that its rollout is imminent comes in the form of a changelog for a Google app, which lists the app as having been updated for Android 4.4.3 support recently.
The changelog is for Google’s Edu Device Setup app, which allows users to set up tablets purchased as a part of Google Apps for Education, clearly stating that it has received support for Android 4.4.3 in the latest version, among other things. It’s a pretty solid hint that the update to Android 4.4.3 could start in the next week or so, and the Nexus 5 will likely be the first device in line to get it, followed by existing devices like the Nexus 4, 7 and the Google Play edition handsets.
Official details about Android 4.4.3 are currently unknown, though leaks suggest it will focus solely on fixing bugs in Android 4.4.2, including a battery drain bug that has affected the Nexus 5.
