The hardware specs of the NVIDIA Shield 2 have just been revealed by a listing on AnTuTu. The next gen handheld gaming console from NVIDIA is expected to break cover later this year, so this leak has come at the right time.
According to the benchmarks database, the Shield 2 will come with a 1440 x 810 resolution display with no clarification on the size yet. This will allow NVIDIA to use a widescreen 16:10 aspect ratio which will benefit gameplay. Other specs include 4GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and the NVIDIA Tegra K1 chipset which was shown off at the CES earlier this year.
The Tegra K1 chipset is capable of recording scores in excess of 40,000, so it’s certainly one of the best in the business right now. However, since this is only a benchmark listing at the moment and not actual confirmation of the Shield 2, we’ll treat it as any other leak. But if the hardware here is anything to go by, the Shield 2 could certainly be a force to reckon with in the handheld gaming console segment.
