HTC isn’t the only company launching a premium smartphone today as Chinese manufacturer ZTE has also scheduled a launch event today in Beijing, China. The ZTE Nubia X6 which had previously been leaked has now been officially launched by the company. It’s a 6.44-inch phablet that sports a Snapdragon 801 chipset with dual SIM and LTE support.

Nubia X6

The ZTE Nubia X6 is one of the best products of the company so far that comes with impressive specs and an amazing build quality. The device was previously rumored to have a 2K display however during its first public appearance it is shown to have a 1920 x 1080 display which is still good. The Nubia line of products have been known for their wide range of network support and this latest model improves on his by not only supporting TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, EVDO, CDMA, GSM, WCDMA and TD-SDCMA networks but also having a dual SIM functionality. What’s even better is that the device will be sold unlocked making it ready for use on any network.

Despite having a slim 7.99mm alloy body the Nubia X6 is still able to support two micro SIMs. This is made possible since only one SIM tray is being used by both SIMs which is an ingenious solution by the ZTE engineers to maximize the space. Those concerned that the battery of this device might be small due to its thin profile should have nothing to worry about as it sports a huge 4250mAh battery which is able to provide power to the 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 and the 6.44-inch display all day long.

The device uses an OGS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a 344ppi. It also has narrow bezels on each side.

There’s a 13MP camera at the rear with f2.0 aperture and OIS (optical image stabilization) that allows for more stable shots. It also makes use of a 5 lens arrangement which allows for more high quality photos to be taken. Since this is the selfie generation the company isn’t skimping on its front camera as it appears to be also 13MP with a 5 lens arrangement but with a lower f2.2 aperture. This impressive hardware is matched with an equally impressive user interface that allows for easy enhancement of photos.

Other features of the Nubia X6 includes 3G ,LTE (including China-specific LTE), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC,USB 3.0 with OTG, and 3 microphones for noise cancellation.

Various versions of this device will go on sale in China. The 32GB version with a 2.3 GHz processor will cost CNY 3,000 while the 64GB with a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor will cost CNY 3500. There is also a 128GB version which costs CNY 4,000.
