After a soak test late last month, now the general population with a Moto X on Sprint can get Android 4.4.2. The minor update adds new printing options, improves battery life, and provides other general bug fixes. Now that the Sprint Moto X has Android 4.4.2, we are just waiting on AT&T to release their update.

But if you’re on Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, or using an unlocked device,  you can now download Android 4.4.2 OTA and get all its improvements. So go ahead and grab it.

  1. I’ve heard about this too but I have no idea how to update offline.
I’ve tried Google but had no luck.
any good sites to visit that may point us to right directions?

  2. Is this available as a downloadable file which I can install offline right from the phone? I don’t want to wait till I get it. I’ve been told that I can get such files on XDA Developers. Do you have any idea about that?

  3. I’ve heard OTA updates are throttled but I still don’t get it why AT&T subscribers are the last to get them.
But with millions android phones in circulation in the US alone, it would be understandable that it may take a while for servers to accommodate all of them.

  4. AT&T the last to release the update? Wow. That’s a surprise; usually it’s Verizon coming in last. I wish there was a way to streamline these updates to make them roll out faster.
