Samsung’s new 10.5 inch AMOLED tablet spotted in benchmark database

10.5 inch AMOLED Tablet

We recently came across an 8.4 inch AMOLED tablet from Samsung. Today, GFXBench has revealed the existence of another such tablet, but with a slightly larger 10.5 inch display. The tablet carries the model number SM-T805. Going by these leaks, it seems like Samsung could be looking to launch multiple AMOLED tablets simultaneously.

This leak reveals the display resolution to be 2560 x 1600 pixels, much like the smaller variant which was leaked a few days ago. In addition to this high resolution display, the tablet is also revealed to feature a 1.9 GHz octa core CPU, 16GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM and a 7-megapixel camera. Android 4.4.2 is said to be powering this tablet.

By the looks of it, it seems like the 10.5 inch AMOLED tablet might be targeted towards global markets which is usually where Samsung sells devices with its proprietary octa core processor. There’s no launch related info available at the moment, but we’ll hope to learn more in the coming weeks. An announcement could on the cards soon with leaks increasing in frequency.

  1. I would be really happy if these companies come out with a proper high end laptop for developers which is light and doesn’t get hot enough to be used for BBQ nights.

  2. We keep seeing bigger and better tablets but I want to know when they are going to start out at the size of a small notepad/notebook. It seems like that is where we are heeding next and that just makes me think having a “tablet” (something smaller) is going to phase out pretty quick in the next few years.
