We already know quite a lot about the OnePlus One, thanks to the manufacturer sharing information about its hardware through its dedicated forum. It was widely believed that the handset would pack the Snapdragon 800 chipset, which was the next best thing in mobile computing until the Snapdragon 801 arrived. However, the company has now clarified that the handset will actually come with the Snapdragon 801 and not the Snapdragon 800 as previously claimed.
This new revelation has made the smartphone an even more exciting prospect as it already packs a pretty stellar hardware with its 5 inch 1080p display and the 13-megapixel camera as well as the 3,100 mAh battery with some additional power saving features.
This change was spotted on the company’s Google+ cover photo, where it now includes Snapdragon 801 among the list of hardware specifications. Massive outcry from the fans made the company change its decision, so it’s quite obvious that OnePlus takes suggestions very seriously unlike other major OEMs. We’re yet to get an official word on launch or availability, but we might be in for a late Q2 release, if everything goes according to plan.
