LG has officially begun the global rollout of the G Pro 2 phablet beginning from Asia. Although the entirety of the continent isn’t covered in this new wave of rollout, the Korean manufacturer is expected to bring it to more regions gradually. Prior to this, the smartphone was only available in South Korea.
The smartphone was officially announced in mid-February and showcased in detail during the MWC event. Launch commenced immediately in South Korea with a promise of other markets getting it soon. LG has stuck to its promise now, with North America and Europe slated to get it in April.
As of now, people in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia can get the G Pro 2 flagship from their local retailers.
The smartphone packs a massive 5.9 inch 1080p IPS display, a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 SoC, a 13 megapixel camera with OIS, 3GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of storage (expandable), Android 4.4 KitKat and a 3,200 mAh battery. The G Pro 2 comes with software features like the Knock Code, which is a secure unlock/lock gesture for the phablet.
