Facebook for Android getting a new update with photo related improvements

The Facebook app for Android is now getting an update with some crucial changes on board. First and foremost, the update will introduce a new layout which the folks at Facebook have been working on for quite some time. Other updates are pertaining to adding multiple images to an album, deleting images within those albums and the ability to add pictures in comments. These features have been steadily making their way with the Beta builds of Facebook for Android, but will now be available on the consumer version i.e. the stable release as well.

Expect some performance improvements to be on board with faster navigation through the news feed and quicker response times. Facebook updates its app periodically to ensure that its loyal fanbase remain hooked to the social network. We have seen over the past years as to how the app has evolved from being extremely slow and laggy to a snappy and functional application. Facebook clearly has some more issues to iron out, so we can expect those features in the coming updates.

  1. I’m using the latest version of the app. Version 7. I feel there are a lot of things missing in app which needs to be addressed. That is why I still prefer using my laptop for Facebook.

  2. Yeah. That’s a real pain in the butt. It should not be too hard to upload multiple images in one go. I don’t why these people don’t want to do that.

  3. The adding multiple images would be great, all apps for all devices really need to work on this. There is nothing more time consuming than having to click a single image at once to upload about 20 at a time for a party or some other large event. I gave up and starting to push all of my cell images to a cloud service and then from there to Facebook.
