Amazon Appstore turns three, now offering several freebies and discounts

Amazon Appstore

Amazon’s Android Appstore is turning three in another five days from now (March 22). And to commemorate its anniversary, the retailer is offering “upto 60%” discount on its games. Although nothing is free at this point, we expect the Appstore to reflect some free apps as we head closer to March 22. At the moment, users can get discounts on TerrariaBatman: Arkham City Lockdown (Kindle Tablet Edition) and Wheel of Fortune.

Amazon is also offering free Amazon Coins with in-app purchases from select games. With any in-app purchase you make from the below games, you will be refunded 50% of the value in this virtual currency. So if you purchased a booster pack or something else within the game of $5 in value, you will be refunded $2.5 worth of Amazon Coins. As simple as that. This is a limited period promotion of course, so it won’t last much longer.

  1. Kingdoms of Camelot is a rip off. They should have included Vector instead of this one.Sonic Dash is also a great game.

  2. Good list of games. I especially like Sonic Dash.
More in the tradition of Subway Surfers but with my favorite character-Sonic the Hedgehog as the hero. A bit challenging but definitely fun.

  3. Thanks for posting this. I have a Kindle and love to go on “download binges” when Amazon is running good deals. I wish I had known they were about to put Wheel of Fortune on sale, though. I bought it at full price recently!
