Verizon offering $100 bill credit to new customers until Feb 28th

With competition increasing each day among American carriers, Verizon doesn’t want to stay far behind either. The carrier is now offering a $100 bill credit to new customers signing a two year agreement. This applies to any mobile or data device sold through Verizon’s retail channels. The promo begins today and will last until the 28th of February. As an added bonus, the carrier is also waiving activation fees of $35 until the 17th of February, so that’s a total of $135 in savings for new customers signing a two year pact with Verizon.

These discounts will certainly attract new customers who are looking to switch, but considering what the customers will end up spending over the course of two years in bill payments, $135 is a negligible amount. But any savings is good today, even if it is just $135. The $100 credit will be applied on the third bill cycle, so you’ll have to stick with the carrier for at least two months in order to avail this discount. With T-Mobile and AT&T competing with each other, it was only a matter of time until Verizon jumped in on the action as well. We should expect promos and offers to increase in frequency over the next few months.
