The Verizon branded Nexus 7 has made constant appearances in the rumor mill with subsequent leaks confirming its existence. Today we have a confirmed arrival date of the tablet courtesy of the folks over at Android Central. Interested users can snatch one of the most popular Android tablets available in the market today through Verizon starting this Thursday the 13th of February. The tablet will cost $249.99 with a two year agreement or $349.99 without a contract, which is how the AT&T variant is sold as well. Customers wanting to add the tablet to the Share Everything Plan from Verizon will have to spend an extra $10 per month.
The tablet has taken quite a while to make its way to Verizon after the carrier declined to activate the tablet on its networks citing lack of certification. So this new revelation also means good news for owners of unlocked 4G LTE Nexus 7 tablets as Verizon networks will finally be usable with the tablet. We’re not sure if there will be a lot of takers for the Verizon variant of the Nexus 7, but it’s good news nonetheless.
