U.S. Cellular Samsung Galaxy Note 3 getting the Android 4.4 update today

Galaxy Note 3

Samsung announced the rollout of Android 4.4 to 14 of its devices in the U.S. which includes the most recent flagship, the Galaxy Note 3. Carrier variants of the popular phablet are now receiving the update starting with U.S. Cellular which will begin the rollout of the update today. The update will arrive as an OTA given that you’re running Samsung’s latest firmware and are able to connect with Samsung’s FOTA servers. The update will be rolled out in batches, but should cover the entirety of the U.S. Cellular Galaxy Note 3 users within 10 days.

U.S. Cellular is excluding built-in apps like MobiTiles and Daily Perks from the update, but will still make these apps available for download from the Play Store. If the users are having trouble getting the update notification, they can head over to their nearest U.S. Cellular outlet where they will guide users through the update process. The changelog here is fairly similar as it was with the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 update, but with a few S-Pen specific updates and enhancements.
