U.S. Cellular Moto X now getting the Android 4.4.2 update

Moto X

America’s fifth largest carrier, U.S. Cellular has begun rolling out the Android 4.4.2 update for its variant of the Moto X. The update recently made its way to the Sprint and T-Mobile variants, so it was only a matter of time until other variants followed suit.

Since this update isn’t a lot different from what we saw on other carrier variants, the changelog is relatively similar. Users can expect battery life enhancements and the ability to print documents over the cloud using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or a few HP printers.

The Moto X features a relatively stock version of Android, which means that rolling out updates is not as cumbersome as on OEM skinned variants. Of course, there will be a few carrier specific tweaks, but not as much as you would expect from an OEM customized smartphone. If you own a U.S. Cellular Moto X, make sure you check the settings for an update or simply wait for the OTA notification to land on your device.
