The T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S5 went up for pre-registration a few days ago along with the Sprint and AT&T variants. And according to the CMO of T-Mobile, Mike Sievert, the smartphone has already crossed over 100,000 pre-registrations, indicating a very high demand. The carrier is expected to launch the smartphone in April, which is when the global rollout is expected to commence as well.
With so much interest towards the smartphone, it is clear that Samsung has struck gold yet again. And with its new wearables promising to be much better than what we saw last year, Samsung couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2014. Early leaks have revealed that T-Mobile will price the Galaxy S5 slightly over $670 off contract, which isn’t a lot more than the price of the Galaxy S4. This was backed up by a report from yesterday which claimed that Samsung is looking to make the Galaxy S5 a lot cheaper than its predecessors were at the time of launch. We expect the contract pricing on other carriers like Sprint, AT&T and Verizon to remain unchanged at $199.99 or $249.99.
