Sprint Moto X now included in the Android 4.4.2 soak test

Moto X KitKat

The Sprint Moto X has now been included in the soak test for the Android 4.4.2 update, hinting at its imminent rollout. Not too long ago, the T-Mobile variant of the smartphone received the update, so Sprint customers might not have to wait long to get the update on their devices. If the changelog from the T-Mobile update is anything to go by, the Sprint Moto X should get better battery backup, the ability to print documents through select HP printers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc and bring along some improvements to Microsoft Exchange sync as well.

Clearly this isn’t a major update, so don’t expect visible differences from Android 4.4.2. It’s a great sign that carriers are rolling out the update quite quickly to smartphones like the Moto X and the Moto G. The fact that these devices sport a relatively stock version of Android probably helps. If you own a Moto X from Sprint, make sure you’re on the lookout for an update.
