Sony’s Smartwatch 2 isn’t the most popular smartwatch available in the market. But it is easily one of the best that money can buy after the Pebble smartwatch. The Japanese manufacturer has now announced the arrival of two new special edition variants of the Smartwatch 2. One of these is called Silver and dons a strap made of steel and the other is the FIFA edition variant which is made up of fabric and features the colors of the Brazilian flag to commemorate the upcoming soccer World Cup in the region.
The Silver Smartwatch 2 is clearly targeted towards the Pebble Steel which was launched during the CES event earlier last month. But given Sony’s wide reach in the industry, these new variants might see a bigger market than Pebble. Sony plans to bring these devices to the market next month for an undisclosed price. The pricing should be slightly more than the Smartwatch 2 which currently costs $159.99.
