The Samsung Galaxy S5 is just another week away from launch, if rumors from the past several days are anything to go by. However, there’s still some confusion over the final specs sheet of the smartphone. While a leak of the box packaging of the smartphone recently confirmed the 5.25 inch QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution display and a 20MP camera, a new Dutch listing has claimed that the smartphone will pack a 5.2 inch 1080p display and a 16MP camera.
It has been long rumored that Samsung will launch two separate variants of the Galaxy S5 – one with a slightly low key hardware and the other with a top of the line specs sheet. So this could be the former with the high end variant already leaked out last week.
It will be interesting to see Samsung’s approach towards marketing two different variants of the same smartphone. We’re guessing the Galaxy S5 that is revealed here will be marketed in select markets of the world, while the high end variant will cater to a different market segment. We’ll know more about this next week when the company is expected to announce the new flagship.
