We have already heard of Samsung’s plans to launch several variants of the Galaxy S5, with the Galaxy S5 Zoom and several other variants spotted in a leak from India earlier today. A new report from Korea now claims that Samsung will also launch the water resistant Galaxy S5 Active, as a successor to the Galaxy S4 Active from 2013.
The Galaxy S4 Active saw a limited global release and was an AT&T exclusive in the U.S., so we hope the Galaxy S5 Active will be launched on a wider scale. With Samsung already sending out invites for the first ‘Unpacked’ event of the year, the internet is rife with speculations about the Galaxy S5.
Although Samsung was originally rumored to be waiting until March to launch the smartphone, it now seems like the flagship will break cover before the MWC as originally claimed. So we expect all other variants of the smartphone including the Galaxy S5 Active to launch during the course of the event.
