A new rumor is claiming that Samsung could be looking to launch a fitness accessory called the Galaxy Gear Fit, which will compete with the likes of FitBit, Jawbone Era and LG’s LifeBand Touch which was announced at the CES last month. Going by this report, the Galaxy Gear Fit will launch alongside the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Gear 2 smartwatch. While we have our doubts on the arrival of the Galaxy Gear 2 next week, the launch of a fitness accessory does seem likely.
The Galaxy Gear Fit will reportedly be very similar to other fitness accessories, in that it will be able to track your workouts, runs and even sleep routines. Pricing will be very crucial in the success of this fitness accessory so we’re guessing Samsung will try to keep the price as low as possible. Somewhere close to $150 should be a competitive price.
