A new leak by Evleaks claims that the Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 might be launched at the MWC event after all. This leaked press image shows off the smartwatch along with another smartwatch known as the Galaxy Gear Neo. This means that we could be in for the launch of two new smartwatches from the company next week. The Galaxy Gear 2 appears to have a gold finishing which could be unique to this particular variant while the Galaxy Gear Neo has a relatively simpler color.
The watch shows a date of Monday, the 24th of February, which is another hint of its imminent arrival at the MWC event in another two days from now. There’s still no telling as to what Samsung will pack these smartwatches with, but it is said that these smartwatches could be running on Tizen to show off the company’s latest software operating system. Tizen is currently being developed jointly by Samsung and Intel.
Other rumors have also indicated that Samsung could be working on a fitness accessory known as the Galaxy Gear Fit, which should be interesting to look forward to as well. So it seems like the Galaxy S5 will not be the company’s only announcement next week.
