If you’ve owned a Pebble Smartwatch, you probably know that it currently depends on third party app hubs for watch faces or other functionality related apps. However, the makers of Pebble announced the arrival of a dedicated Pebble Appstore during the CES to solve this very problem.
We are now hearing that the Pebble Appstore will be officially available tomorrow on the 3rd of February on both Android and iOS platforms. The company gave away the information through Twitter by attaching a screenshot of the Android app.
Functionality wise, we think it will be very simple with easy pushing of apps to your Pebble by simply downloading it via the Android app. We should get a better idea of its functioning once the app is launched tomorrow. With Pebble Steel launching as well, the smartwatch segment is being single handedly dominated by Pebble which was just a Kickstarter project not too long ago. Despite the arrival of the likes of Sony and Samsung in the scene, things haven’t been a lot different.
