A new report claims that the Nokia X or Normandy will break cover next month in India and will be named under the popular Asha series. It was no mystery that the Nokia X is a midrange smartphone as the hardware was reportedly comparable to the Lumia 520. This new revelation was reportedly made by a senior Nokia executive who insisted on remaining anonymous.
This means the smartphone could be unveiled at the MWC event later this month, thus putting an end to months of speculations and rumors. The Nokia X is certainly one of the most talked about Android smartphones in recent memory, given the company’s history with Android OEMs and its association with Microsoft. On the specs front, the Nokia X should pack a 4 inch WVGA display, a 5MP camera on the back, 512MB of RAM, a 1 GHz dual core processor and hopefully Android 4.4 KitKat. Pricing shouldn’t be more than $100-120 given the hardware it packs.
