The HTC Desire 8 has been a part of leaks over the last week or so where we first saw a press image of the smartphone leaking out. Yesterday, Evleaks spilled the beans on its complete hardware specs sheet, thus confirming everything we needed to know about the smartphone.
Today we have yet another image of the smartphone, leaked out on Chinese social site Weibo. This press image appears to have Chinese wordings on them, which indicates that China will be one of the first regions to get it after its announcement in a few days.
The image also reveals Chinese carrier branding on the back, so this is certainly a local carrier variant of the smartphone. Although the model shown here is China bound, we expect the Desire 8 to make its way to several other markets as well. Considering that China is one of the largest smartphone markets, it is obvious that HTC would want to start from there.
The Desire 8 is rumored to pack a 5.5 inch display, a 13 megapixel camera, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable) Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6 UI, a quad core 1.6 GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC and HTC’s popular front facing BoomSound speakers.
