The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 started receiving the Android 4.4 update recently in global markets which came as very good news for the users. However, little did those users know that this update would take away the device’s compatibility with third party alternatives to Samsung’s expensive S-View case. Samsung recently acknowledged the issue and promised the issuance of an update as well. This update is now believed to be rolling out to the Snapdragon 800 variant of the smartphone in Poland.
The update will require Galaxy Note 3 handsets running Android 4.4 KitKat, so make sure you update your device to KitKat now if you’ve been held back after news of accessory incompatibility broke out last month. Since this is a minor update, it shouldn’t take long for Samsung to finish the rollout. So we recommend you to hold on to your inexpensive third party Galaxy Note 3 cases and covers as the update will pretty much fix every issue related to compatibility. The update will also come with its usual suite of bug fixes and some performance patches.
