MOTA recently launched its first smartwatch which is called the MOTA smartwatch. The amazing thing about this wearable device is that it costs less than other leading brands in the market and will only set you back for $50. Be aware though that this is a promotional price only available at Groupon. Next week the price will be raised to $80, which is still pretty low.
According to Kevin Faro, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, “MOTA will be at the forefront of consumer electronic trends. Wearable technology is a fascinating industry and we believe consumers will respond very well to our innovation and product experience.”
He further added that “MOTA is launching its SmartWatch on the internet’s most vibrant and active shopping experience, Groupon. This creates a sense of excitement and exclusivity for Groupon’s tech-savvy subscribers.”

The MOTA Smartwatch can easily pair with an Android or iOS device through Bluetooth. Once paired, a user will be able to get notifications on calls with the caller ID shown for existing contacts on the display of the smartwatch. It is also able to display incoming call numbers, time, and battery level among others.
When answering a call users don’t even need to take out their smartphone since the conversation can be carrier on the smartwatch itself. There’s a built-in microphone and speaker system that can facilitate this. Of course if you need more privacy then it’s best to answer the call on your smartphone.
Users will also be able to control the media playback on an Android or iOS device.
The device also has an anti-lost feature that alerts owners whenever it is more than 5 feet away from the smartphone.
If you are looking for a smartwatch that costs even less than the $150 Pebble then the MOTA Smartwatch makes an excellent choice. While it does not support third-party apps or even have an e-ink display it still has all of the essential features that makes it attractive enough.
