A lot of mobile device makers are releasing mini versions of their popular high-end devices. Take for instance the Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 Mini, the HTC One Mini, and the Sony Z1 Compact just to name a few. LG is going to join in on the bandwagon by releasing its own mini model called the LG G2 Mini.
Rumors of the LG G2 Mini has been spreading since late last year and while no official information about the device has been released then LG has more or less confirmed the existence of the device by uploading a photo of a Mini device on its official Facebook page. The photo has the caption “Experience the MINI. Mobile World Congress. 2014-02-24.” While there is no official mention of the LG G2 Mini, the smaller smartphone is placed beside the LG G2 which most probably means that it is indeed the LG G2 Mini.
LG is expected to announce the LG G2 Mini in the upcoming MWC 2014. As of now there is no official information as to what the specification of this model is. Since it is a mini device then it is probably a mid-range device.
As far as rumor goes it is reportedly going to run on Android 4.2.2, 4.3 inch qHD display (960×540-pixel resolution), and have an 8MP camera.
Other sources say that there are two versions of this device. They are model numbers LG D618 and LG D620 as what was seen from a leaked User Agent profile. It also appears that the LG D620 has already passed its Bluetooth certification process.
Whatever he specifications of this device will be, we will surely know it when it becomes officially announced at MWC 2014. As usual TheDroidGuy will be covering this event an providing you with the latest information on not just LG devices but other popular Android devices that will be shown during the said event.
