According to a new report, the LG G Pro 2 phablet could be unveiled next week on the 13th of February. It is believed that LG will hold a dedicated event next Thursday to announce the smartphone as its first flagship of the year. This makes a lot of sense as launching a handset during the MWC means it will inevitably get lost in the crowd of announcements, which is exactly what happened last year. The MWC is still quite a distance away, so launching a smartphone a couple of weeks prior to the event will mean that the smartphone gets all the attention it needs. However, this new report is based on speculation, so we can’t vouch for its authenticity as of now.
The smartphone is rumored to feature a 6 inch 1080p display, a powerful Snapdragon 800 SoC, Android 4.4 KitKat, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, LTE A support wherever available and a decently sized battery. On the specs front, the smartphone is pretty much on par with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but without the stylus support.
