We already know from previous reports that Huawei will be unveiling the MediaPad X1 at the MWC 2014 event. For those who can’t wait to see this device, several photos of it have been leaked online recently showing it in all angles.
The photos that have been released come just days before the Mobile World Congress event. It shows a device in an alloy body and a space for a microSD card. A phone app is also seen running on the screen which means that it will be able place and receive calls.
One photo shows the device with a smart cover and a window showing a clock. This means that the company might also be selling smart cover accessories that are compatible with the MediaPad X1.
The Huawei MediaPad X1 is said to compete against the Asus made Google Nexus 7. The device will sport a 7-inch display that has a resolution of 1200 X 1920 pixels. It uses a Huawei made quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.6GHz (Hisilicon 910 Kirin chipset) and uses 2GB of RAM. This configuration should be more than enough to handle most demanding apps and provide a smooth user experience.
A 13MP camera is used on the rear. There’s also a 5MP front camera that can be used to take selfies or video calls.
Other features include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB port, HDMI out. It’s also rumored to have a 4G version.
Of course we will still have to wait for the official announcement from Huawei to get the definite specs and features of this device. With the MWC happening in a few days only we will definitely keep you guys posted on this.
