A new photo of the upcoming Huawei Ascend P7 smartphone has just been leaked which shows a device that is similar to the Ascend P6 but with a more narrow bezel making the screen real estate larger. The P7 has big shoes to fill as it will be succeeding the P6 which was one of the slimmest Android smartphones when it was launched.
The leaked photo shows the front and back side of an Android smartphone which is reportedly the Ascend P7. There appears to be no physical buttons in the front which means that everything will rely on capacitive touches. A front camera and a proximity sensor can be seen on top of the display. The back side of the device is equally clean with only the Huawei logo and the camera with flash visible.
The entire device is said to be made of an “exquisite materials” which most likely means it is made of metal just like the P6. Another of its strong features is that it is said to be able to take the best selfies videos. This won’t come as a surprise as this device is said to have an 8MP front facing camera with a 12MP camera with LED flash at the rear.
An unspecified Android version is being used (most probably Android KitKat) that has Emotion UI 2.0 on top. It will have a 5-inch FHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Providing muscle to this device is a HiSilicon Balong 910 chipset with a quad-core 1.6GHz processor. There’s also 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can easily be expanded using the microSD slot. It also comes with a 2,460 mAh battery which should be enough to last a full day on moderate usage. For those who are asking if it supports 4G LTE a leaked document shows that it does support Cat 4 at the 800/1800/2100/2600 bands.
If rumors are correct then we should be seeing this device hit the market this coming April.
Since this is just a rumor and nothing is official yet it is best to treat this latest news with a grain of salt.
