HTC’s dedication towards updating its latest devices to the newest version of Android as quickly as possible continues today with the rollout of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the HTC One max, One mini, and the dual SIM HTC One. HTC India has confirmed that the update is streaming to devices in the country, and reports suggest that other Asian countries are also first in line for the update, though a rollout for other markets shouldn’t be too far behind.
According to HTC’s official changelog, the update includes better multitasking, cloud printing options, ability to save and open files on Google Drive and free 25GB of storage, improved disk encryption, and “just better everything,” a statement that isn’t far-fetched considering KitKat is one of the most refined versions of the world-dominating mobile OS. If you’ve got any of the above devices, head over to the Settings » About » Software updates menu to check if the update’s available for you; don’t fret if it doesn’t show up immediately, as these updates are always staggered, which means it might be a few days before it manages to reach every device.
