Renowned Twitter leakster, @evleaks has some more information on the HTC M8 smartphone which is set for a late March unveiling. This new rumor cites that the smartphone could share design elements from the predecessor. According to Evleaks, the HTC M8 will “look strikingly similar” to the HTC One, which is a bit disappointing for hopeful HTC fans.
Year after year, HTC’s flagships have adopted a slightly updated design, but it seems like the manufacturer doesn’t want to invest too much on design with the focus shifted to marketing. The company could be looking at more losses after it was found to be guilty of infringing on crucial Nokia patents in Germany.
The likes of Samsung and LG are gearing up to launch flagships with a substantially improved hardware while HTC is reportedly going with a slightly outdated specs sheet, so we’re not too optimistic at this point. The smartphone is rumored to pack a 5 inch 1080p display, an Ultrapixel camera of unknown resolution, a quad core Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and Android 4.4 KitKat with a new version of Sense UI.
