The Nokia X smartphone appears to be all set for an announcement at the upcoming MWC event in Barcelona according to a recent press invitation. And as we inch closer to the launch of the smartphone, we’re coming across several leaks of the smartphone. The latest comes with benchmark results for the device revealing a sub-par hardware specs sheet, which was along expected lines really.
These new benchmark results show that the smartphone will feature a paltry 3MP camera on the back, which is substandard even for a low end device these days. It is also revealed that the smartphone will feature Android 4.1 as its basic operating system, contrary to previous reports which pegged Android 4.4 KitKat to be running the show on the smartphone. Going by these reports, we feel the smartphone will only be unveiled in developing nations where smartphones under $100 sell in volumes. It is being reported that the Nokia X will be launched in the Asian markets first under the popular Asha moniker, followed by the European markets.
