The AT&T variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 are now getting firmware updates. While the Galaxy S4 is seeing the arrival of Android 4.4.2 at last, the Galaxy Note 3 is still stuck on Android 4.3. Several variants of the Galaxy Note 3 around the world have already received the KitKat update, so it is a tad disappointing that AT&T is yet to roll out the update.
The Galaxy S4 is getting all the standard Android 4.4 specific features including a slightly revamped UI and some improvements to core functionality, while Note 3 users will see an update to Google Mobile Services with Google Drive now available by default.
The update is rolling out in batches, so it could take a couple of days to reach all devices. Carriers have traditionally been slow with update rollouts and AT&T is a good example of that. Hit the link below for more details on the update.
