The LG G Flex is formally available starting today via AT&T. Although in store availability is yet to begin, users can start ordering the smartphone online to get it within the next few days, with shipments starting tomorrow. Pricing isn’t any different from what was expected and customers will end up shelling out $299.99 for the smartphone with a two year contract or $694.99 if they’re looking to get it contract free. If customers want to get the smartphone through AT&T Next monthly installment program, they will end up paying $25 for a period of two years. Sprint started selling the LG G Flex from January 31, with T-Mobile taking orders for the smartphone starting tomorrow.
The launch of the G Flex is pretty significant as it is the first curved OLED smartphone to launch globally. Although Samsung was the first to arrive at the scene with the Galaxy Round, its availability was limited to South Korea. The LG G Flex comes equipped with a pretty capable 6 inch 720p curved OLED panel, a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 quad core chipset, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a 13MP camera on the back, a scratch resistant back cover and a 3,500 mAh battery.
