ASUS launches two new docks for the 2013 Nexus 7 tablet

Nexus 7 Dock

ASUS has just launched two new official docks meant for the 2013 Nexus 7 tablet. One of these is a wired dock while the other comes with wireless charging. ASUS has been relatively slow in launching accessories for its Nexus tablets, so it’s good news that the manufacturer finally has a couple of accessories lined up. The wired dock is also capable of outputting HDMI content as it comes with an HDMI out port. The wireless dock on the other hand can charge your Nexus 7 free from the tangles of wires, using the coil built right beneath the back of the Nexus 7.

The wired dock will set you back by $50 while the wireless charger will cost a hefty $90, which is a lot considering the cost of the tablet. The tablets can be used both in landscape and portrait orientation with these docks, which is an added bonus. Given the timing of the launch, we’re not sure if customers will be willing to spend $50 or $90 for a dock or any other accessory. But if you’re still interested, make sure you hit the Amazon links below to reserve a unit for yourself.
