The UAProf or the User Agent Profile of the upcoming HTC flagship known as the HTC M8 has just been leaked online by renowned source Evleaks. This confirms several hardware related specifications of the smartphone, such as the 1080p display and Android 4.4 KitKat. Evleaks specifically mentions that this is the AT&T variant of the smartphone, so we know it’s coming to the U.S. early. The UAProf also reveals the lack of hardware buttons on the smartphone, indicating a switch to onscreen software buttons.
We have also heard that the smartphone will introduce a unique dual camera layout for better low light performance and improved depth of field. However, we are yet to get more details on that at this point. An announcement shouldn’t be far away, as the HTC One was unveiled back in February last year.
The 1080p display for the smartphone sounds very underwhelming for a modern flagship, especially from a company like HTC which is struggling to make a major impact on the world market. But we hope the Taiwanese manufacturer makes up for that with a stellar UI and top notch performance.
