Screenshot reveals a new UI for the Galaxy S4 with the Android 4.4 update

Galaxy S4 Android 4.4The Samsung Galaxy S4 is all set to receive the Android 4.4 update, with confirmation coming through that the update rollout will finish by the end of this month. And now, a new leaked screenshot from the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) suggests that Samsung might be going with a new and a slightly flatter UI with the KitKat update.

Samsung devices have been criticized in the past for having a slightly cartoonish UI, so this could be the time Samsung changes those things. The screenshot only reveals the lockscreen which shows the standard camera button and white status bar icons, which are both Android 4.4 related additions. This screenshot is accompanied by an AnTuTu benchmarks score which reveals a slightly better score of 28,643.

Galaxy S4 AnTuTuWe would have liked to see more screenshots to properly assess what’s different with Samsung’s iteration of the Android 4.4 update, but the day doesn’t seem far away now as the update should be available in a couple of weeks’ time.
