Samsung hints at the arrival of more wearable devices at CES 2014

Samsung Galaxy Band

A new report claims that Samsung could announce something at the upcoming CES event after all, after rumors of the Korean manufacturer shifting its focus to the MWC event next month. It is being said that Samsung will probably announce a wearable device or two, but not the much anticipated successor to the Galaxy Gear smartwatch, which might see the light of the day at the MWC in Barcelona. So what wearable device will the company announce? Well, we recently came across the Galaxy Band fitness accessory which could more than likely be shown off at the event next week. The fact that LG is launching its own fitness accessory at about the same time makes things even more interesting.

Samsung is also going to unveil a couple of home appliances with emphasis on Android as well as a super powerful UHD television according to company reports from the last couple of days. But for us Android enthusiasts, the Samsung Galaxy Band will be the gadget to lookout for. Maybe Samsung will surprise us with the rumored Google Glass competitor too.

Samsung’s official blog had this to say – “The wearable device market is on the rise and the concept of ‘smart home’ has started to gain ground. Hence, at this CES, maybe we can expect some innovative products that we had imagined to use in the future“.
