The Sony Xperia Z1s is going to be announced at the CES event later today as we have been long expecting. And just as Sony gears up for the official unveiling, @evleaks on Twitter has managed to get hold of a press image of the smartphone. What’s interesting though is that this variant of the Xperia Z1s has a visible T-Mobile logo on the bottom which hints at an imminent U.S. release.
We are almost certain that Sony will also launch the smartphone globally including China where Sony smartphones have done relatively well. Sony’s announcement takes place this evening at 5PM PST and we expect some more surprises to be uncovered during the course of the event. Previous leaks have indicated that the Xperia Z1s will be a smaller variant of the Xperia Z1 and will share most of the hardware as well. We expect the smartphone to sport a 4.3 inch 720p display, a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM, a 20.7MP camera, Water and Dust Resistant support, Android 4.3 and a 2,300 mAh battery.
